Straight from the airport,we went to lunch and starting drinking pitchers...what a good day. Manny and I held it down till about 5:oo am while everyone else passed out around 1am. TM Jake Jones (aka. CaliJake) sent in an email from AZ last week but I lagged on posting it up... so here ya go. Keep up to date on the SC Team shreddingness in Arizona:
Let me just tell you that this has been one hell of a week. Jonesy and myself are out of commission! I tweeked my knee and Jonesy sprained his foot on some dudes face..dont ask! Ted and myself spent our pay checks on some new music instruments (I'm the newest member of the marching emo band!)
Alex, Flo and Ted have been laying down some serious tech hammers & Mike's camera is getting feed well this week...full course meals!!!

I got a call the other day from Ben Philo in CT saying "My name is Ben and I found a Gloden Quarter". I haven't heard that in at least 6 months since Ryan and Jordan Tucker found one, then Ken Runnian and then Daniel Irons! Well, out of nowhere another one of the 10 Gold Quartes surfaced. Here's the story...
Ben went into Cutting Edge in CT and asked to buy a copy of "Out There" but the shop was sold out! Figures.. it is an awesome movie! Anyway, Ben had wanted "Guarte" for his collection as well so he bought that instead. The kid behind the counter told him "it could be the golden quarter". Well Ben here thought the shop kid was heckling him but low and behold, he had won! And for those of you that have forgotten what this means.. it means he won $2400 in Santa Cruz Skateboards gear. Which breaks down to 24 decks, 36 tshirts, 6 sweatshirts, 24 hats and tons and tons and tons of stickers.

So congrats to Ben and also would like to remind all you shredders that there are 6 more Golden Quarters laying around in skate shops across the country! Get some!

Greetings from Arizona! This weekend was good, hung out with matt price and shot and filmed tons of stuff & worked on are tans. Poores hard at work today editing the Cruzin' AZ article for April release Strange Notes so the rest of us have the day off...video games and beer!!!! Hey Creature Lee, my old a$$ filmed some tricks for your video, footy's on the way!!!
For all you Lee Smith fans out there, I just talked to him, he's coming back to the US in April......hide your mothers, girlfriends and sisters!!!! Miss ya Mr. Smith!

"Our friend rob woke us us early,wanting to go shred......he and ted jammed for a while,cause the rest of us were a little hungover from our sweet nite out at some college hip-hop bar! Today we decided to keep it mellow, played some dodgeball( I got my as$ kicked by rob and ted) and hit some parks."

P.S. guess the dude with the guitar is "Friend Rob".. looks like Ted is serious about his emo band.

"skate session at the park yesterday turned into a full on demo, I logged about 60 clips, heres one of them for now. Working on a edit for web exclusive day in the park."

The Santa Cruz AM Team just keeps getting better... we're pleased to announce that Ted Degros now rides for Santa Cruz. Ted joins fellow Santa Cruz AM team mates Sid Melvin, Marius Syvanen and Tommy Fynn.

"I'm really excited about the 15 year contract from Santa Cruz and I'm feeling pretty good about the fact that I've beaten everyone on the team in arm wrestling."

Born in Vancouver, Ted's currently relocated with the rest of the Santa Cruz Team for the next 3 months at an undisclosed Team Spring Training facility (crash house) in Arizona complete with a 57" TV to watch the daily footage recap.
