Santa Cruz Skateboards is pleased to officially welcome Jason Jessee back to the family and the team!
Vet’s Division Commanders, Tom Knox & Eric Dressen, made the suggestion to get Jason on. Dave Freil talked to him and said he sounded into it, so Knox and I drove out to meet Jason at his Watsonville warehouse to pitch the idea of him joining the Vets Division. Jason showed us what he’d been up to - building one of a kind choppers & crazy metal sculptures and battling over the rights to his life story documentary titled,
"Pray For Me".
After a little friendly persuasion, he agreed - as long as we understood that “it’s not going to be easy to work with me” - that was back in September 2005. Eight months later, Jason’s debut model on the Veteran’s Division titled “Rape of Liberty” is due to release this month.
Jason’s re-issue boards continue to be some of the most sought after boards ever released by Santa Cruz Skateboards. His Veteran’s Division model is sure to carry on the tradition.
If we can get a hold of Jason, we hope to have a web bio up on
www.santacruzskateboards.com sometime soon – stay tuned.
